A History Lesson

If I were to suggest that people should turn off their computers and write letters or park their cars and ride bicycles, some people would protest, "But those are just technologies, too. When letter-writing and bicycles were introduced, people protested against them in the same way. " Fair enough. But let's abandon things anyway. When we've done it, perhaps we'll realize we want to go back even further.
